Composer John Koutselinis has recently completed the score for the pilot episode of 'The Seed of Juna' by director Alvaro Garcia.
The film depicts a dark, dystopian world where we see Juna, a rebellious girl, who is reborn in a different part of the universe after being killed by a ruling religious sect on Earth. As she comes to accept her new disposition in an unknown and frightening place, Juna makes several unexpected encounters with both herself and her surroundings.

The live recordings with members of The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra took place on the 31st August 2019 with conductor Nic Raine and scoring engineer Jan Holzner.
The recordings took place at the Smecky Studios in Prague and marked the completion of the recordings for the score of the film 'The Orphan Train' which was directed by Brian Presley.

The live recordings for the original score composed by John Koutselinis for the motion picture 'The Great Race' (Directed by Brian Presley), were performed by the members of 'The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra' at the Smecky Studios (Prague) on November 11th.
The music was conducted by Adam Klemens and the session was supervised by James Fitzpatrick & Stanja Vomackova and engineered by Jan Holzner.

John Koutselinis has collaborated with The People's Orchestra release of a four-track EP titled 'Beyond the Skies'.
John's note on this collaboration:
' I am an avid supporter of 'The People's Orchestra' and I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to record some of my pieces. 'The People's Orchestra' gives invaluable unity in bringing people together through music, first and foremost by having fun and in the process by creating wonderful events, such as concerts and also by creating recorded music such as this EP.
The pieces we recorded include 'Beyond the Skies', which I wrote specifically for 'The People's Orchestra' and the end credits from a wonderful film by K&K productions titled 'Cable: The Chronicles of Hope' which was a homage to the X-Men universe.

New Motion Picture 'Conspiracy Rising' to be scored in 2015

New music composed for 'The League of Legends'
A new collaboration with K&K productions and Machinima has seen the creation of two new 'League of Legends' episodes which feature characters from the game filmed in live action.
The first episode 'Blind Ambition' featuring the story of Lee Sin will be screened by Machinima Prime on August 30th, 2013.
Both episodes will be screened at the 2013 Machinima International Film Festival.

Jerry Goldsmith Awards 2012 Nomination!
A recently composed piece titled ‘Denouement’ has been nominated at the 2012 Jerry Goldsmith awards!
‘Denouement’ and also the documentary ‘The Dinorwic Slate Quarry’ were shortlisted at the awards which will take place from the 25th June until the 1st July. ‘Denouement’ is a piece for cello and orchestra. The Cello was performed by Sarah Oliver who is a finalist of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition and she is currently performing as a solo, chamber musician & orchestral player while taking her Master’s degree in cello performance at London’s Trinity College of Music.

Best Documentary award for 'The Dinorwic Slate Quarry'!
The Documentary 'The Dinorwic Slate Quarry' has been awarded for Best Documentary at the Carmarthen Bay film festival 2012!
The film was scored by John Koutselinis last September.
The main theme was performed by finalist of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition Sarah Oliver.

Award Winning Documentary to be screened at the Carmarthen Bay film festival 2012
The recently scored documentary titled 'The Dinorwic Slate Quarry' has been selected
for the Carmarthen Bay film festival 2012.
The documentary has been created by filmmaker Jason Jones and it is an insight to some of the quarrymen who worked at the Dinorwic Slate Quarry and their accounts of the extremely difficult working conditions they had to endure.
It also looks at the development of the quarry until its closure in 1969. The 30-minute version of the film has won an award for best newcomer at the LLAMFF Film Festival

A new composition titled 'Denouement' has just been released. The theme was initially composed for a film and was kept and arranged for piano, orchestra & solo cello.

John Koutselinis has been nominated for a Jerry Goldsmith Award on the 'Best score in a Short Film' category.
The nominated score is featured in the short film 'The Rocket Boy'.

Director Jason Jones has created a wonderful documentary titled The 'Dinorwig Slate Quarry'.

John will score the 70-minute version of the documentary which should be completed by the end of this summer.

Short film 'The Rocket Boy' directed by the very talented young director from the US, Donavan Seschillie
has been officially selected by the Sundance Festival for screening in 2011.
The Rocket Boy is a very beautifully shot film and features the story of a young boy’s dream to find his lost father.
The story explores a deep emotional connection between the characters and trends on a very basic level
within the familiar surroundings of an everyday family life.

Pinewood Studios Film to be scored in 2011
A new production set to be filmed in the famous Pinewood studios
has become the next collaboration between Hicks/Jaggi production and John Koutselinis.
The film is called ‘Soho-a London Noir’ and stage set production has started this month. Filming will start in February 2010.
The style will be Jazz orientated with various other musical elements and it will feature some great solo musicians in the recording of the score.
